[TI] [Fwd: Salvatore=Sam?]

My mother was Ignazia and she went by Elsie as did her cousin. My 
grandfather was Ignazio and he went by Charles. My cousin is named Salvatora 
and she goes by Sally. I was named after my grandmother Salvatora and also 
go by Sally. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason.
